Blufish Japanese Restaurant

This is a visual identity concept for Blufish, a local Japanese restaurant. I created a refined and sophisticated brand identity that mirrors the quality food and atmosphere of the restaurant. I developed recognizable symbol to their logo that incorporated fluid and organic shapes that elude to traditional Japanese art, while still maintaining an elegant and contemporary feel. The scales on the fish are commonly used in Japanese art and tattoos.

The custom Ü can be used as a symbol on its own or as a textural element. I also redesigned their website and instagram feed to showcase how the branding elements could be seamlessly incorporated and give new direction for photography
